‘What Are You Looking at?’
What Are You Looking At? is an exhibition curated by Marie Obegi, presented within a repurposed office space in Central London.
The exhibition asks participating artists and curators to submit three to six images currently shaping their practice, spanning any source: a view from a studio window, a canonical work, a film still, a found photograph. Rather than documenting finished influences, the show captures the live, unstable texture of creative attention.
Its structure is generative. Each contributor nominates the next group of participants, allowing the exhibition to expand organically across eight weeks. The result is an accumulating record of contemporary visual culture as artists themselves experience it, diverse in period, medium, and register, and shaped by no curatorial thesis beyond the act of looking itself.
